On 30 June 2017 CLC’s Ian West, Stuart Brennan, Seamus Smyth, Chris Picardo and Jonathan Fozard travelled to Thorndon Park Golf Club in Brentwood for an annual charity golf day, entertaining various clients of the firm.
The course looked as resplendent as ever under the blue skies of the Essex countryside as the group teed off for what is always a great opportunity for clients and members of our team to develop their working relationships in a relaxed and informal setting.
Organiser, Ian West said: “It was wonderful to be able to welcome clients of the firm to Thorndon Park Golf Club for what turned out to be such a successful day.
“I know that the day was enjoyed by everyone who attended as a relaxed way to build on some already excellent relationships and to hone our golf skills (more honing being needed by some than others!)”
The prize for the worst outfit definitely went to Seamus Smyth for a pair of trousers so “lary” that Ian Poulter would have been proud (pictures available on request), while the honours for the longest drive went to Jonathan Fozard for a 300 + yard piledriver on the 14th.
Thorndon Park is familiar territory for the CLC team, being the setting for the Society of the Old Brendwoods annual charity golf day, which lawyers from our firm regularly attend. Ian West is himself an Old Brentwood.
